How to distinguish between satin labels and damask labels
There are often clients who cannot distinguish between satin labels and damask labels. Today, I would like to explane these two technologies.
DAMASK: The cloth label is like a cloth structure, which is called a simple plane tag once it is interwoven up and down a latitude. Generally speaking, the warp yarns are fixed, or black, or white, so there are black and white, light background color standard, generally use white, dark generally use black. The pattern and color of the cloth label should be expressed by the weft, and the color expressed should be different from the effect of the warp cross. Because the general machine has the limitation of the type of weft, the color that can be expressed is also limited, generally within 12 colors. From the above, the price components are: the width of the cloth label, namely the amount of warp yarn; The length of the cloth label and the length of each color along the warp direction. In order to more richly express the details and colors, the weft are doubled, called a double-sided standard, if a certain color needs more three-dimensional sense, and add a heavy yarn, called a heavy shuttle. In addition to washing and sizing, most of the flat double-sided label. The cloth labels are all yarns to express the pattern, which must be different from the original graphic design, so it is impossible to mass production without sample confirmation.
SATIN: Satin is a fabric made of interlaced warp and woof, which can be doubled by doubling the weft to improve quality and by doubling the warp, a process called Satin. By doubling the warp, the texture of the cloth label becomes soft and smooth. Because the warp is doubled, the density is too high, the weft can not express the pattern very well, and the underside color can not be made very flexible. Only after the process to show certain color requirements. A machine set to do flat or satin is generally relatively fixed. The width of the cut satin is generally not greater than 10.8CM and the width of the woven satin is generally not greater than 5.0CM.
But because our technology getting better and better. Our current technology makes damask labels very high-end. Now. Satin is the main feeling of “slippery”; Damask is mainly about “soft” touch.
The only thing that damask can’t do is the profile. For each pattern, the letters were vertical, and the damask had a lot of jagged shapes. Satin can avoid that. But the price of Satin is 30% more expensive than Damask.
Therefore, each has its own advantages and disadvantages.
