A grand meeting to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) was held at Tian ‘anmen Square in Beijing on the morning of July 1, 2021.  

Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the People’s Republic of China and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, delivered an important speech today at the gathering marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC).  

One hundred years ago, the pioneers of the Communist Party of China founded the CPC, forming the great Party building spirit of upholding truth, upholding ideals, fulfilling our original aspiration, fulfilling our mission, fearing no sacrifice, fighting bravely, being loyal to the Party, and living up to the people. This is the source of the CPC’s spirit.  

Over the past 100 years, the Communist Party of China has carried forward the great spirit of Party building, built up the spiritual genealogy of Chinese Communists in the long struggle, and forged the distinctive political character.  History flows and the spirit is passed on from generation to generation.  We must continue to carry forward the glorious tradition, ceaseless red blood, and carry forward the great spirit of party building forever!  

Over the past 100 years, the Chinese people have been united and led by the Communist Party of China in all their struggles, sacrifices, and creations. All these can be summed up in one theme: the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
